Starting a new chapter in life is never without challenges. There is always the fear of failure, but I remind myself that regret for not trying would be far more unbearable. Life's journey is a rollercoaster ride, filled with exhilarating highs and challenging lows. I have most recently have been faced with obstacles that have tested my strength, resilience, and determination. But ironically while trying to overcome these challenges, I was able to find my true potential and embrace challenges as an opportunity for growth. It has led me to follow my passion and pursue my dream that I've had since I was a teenager.
My very first job at the age of 14 was a messenger for a small travel agency in New York City. When I say messenger, it meant that I would travel all over NYC by train to deliver plane tickets to customers. Yes, that was back in the 80's! When I wasn't making a delivery, I was in the office organizing the travel brochures on display. I remember how fascinated I was reading through the brochures and looking at all the beautiful pictures of vacation destinations. From that moment, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the travel industry. I immediately changed my major in high school to Travel and Tourism. This led me to enroll in college for a degree in Business Management with Travel and Tourism as a Minor. Life sometimes takes you in a different direction and I spent three decades working in the healthcare industry and real estate. Real Estate has also been a passion of mine since the time I purchased my first home at 24 years old. The allure of helping people find their dream homes and helping people exploring new places all while creating unforgettable experiences fuels my drive to make dreams come true!
Finally, 39 years later, I've taken the leap and moved forward with purchasing a travel franchise. The health challenges that my loved one currently faces has made a profound realization that life is too short to postpone one's dreams and follow through on your bucket list...no more delays and excuses why you can't. Moving forward with a travel franchise seemed like a perfect fit for my life right now and the perfect opportunity to combine my love for travel and helping travelers make lifelong memories.
My amazing husband of 29 years and I may not have the chance to fulfill every destination on our bucket list that we talked about for so many years, but I am determined to continue with our journey and make as many lasting memories as possible through travel. I will also live vicariously through others trips around the world. The joy of knowing that I was able to help to make that happen makes every step worthwhile.
